SUBMISSION & DEADLINE

 

Please submit your abstract to geohab2014@deakin.edu.au before the 28th of February 2014. Abstracts submitted after this date will not necessarily be taken into consideration.

 

Send your email with the word “Abstract submission” in the Subject line, followed by the name of your abstract document, according to the formatting guidelines indicated previously,

e.g. Abstract submission Brown_Oral_1.

 

You will receive an acknowledgement of receipt within a few days. Abstracts will be considered by the Scientific Committee even if payment has not been completed.

 

The Scientific Committee will examine all abstracts received and will communicate to the authors whether their presentation has been accepted in the requested mode, also according to the total number of contributions. Due to the limited time for oral presentations there might be chances of being asked to convert the presentation into a poster.

ABSTRACT FORMAT

 

Please download and use this template document to write your abstract as it contains detailed formatting instructions.

 

Instructions summary: Abstracts should be formatted on a A4 sheet (vertical), single spacing, no columns, 2 cm margins (top, bottom and sides). Title, authors and authors address must be centered 12 point Arial bold font. Abstract text must be fully justified 10 point Arial font. No limit on number of words and illustrations (minimum 300dpi resolution), tables, references and website links are authorized, but the complete abstract must fit on a single page.

 

The document should be saved in MS Word format (preferably Word 97-2003 .doc) and be named after the presenting author last name and preferred mode of presentation (Oral, Poster or Nopref) and proposed session theme number (1-6) as listed on the general information page (eg. Brown_Oral_1.doc). 

ORAL PRESENTATION & POSTER FORMAT

 

You should allow 15 minutes  for oral presentations, including time for questions and discussion. Presentations should be in Power Point or pdf format. Bring your presentation in a USB stick and contact the conference staff to copy your presentation on the PC used for projection before the beginning of your session.

 

Dimensions of posters should not exceed 150 cm (vertical) x 100 cm (horizontal). Material to hang up your poster will be provided by the conference staff.
